RACQUET WAR PLAYER GUIDE
From the moment you register through the end of your tournament weekend, we’ll make sure you know what to expect. You’ll be personally welcomed by a Racquet War administrator, receive important updates before the tournament, and find everything you need posted on the tournament website.
Use this page to learn what to do before, during and after your tournament—from planning your stay and choosing your clinic time to arriving for your welcome meeting, following the dress-up themes and planning your next Racquet War trip!
You’ll receive an automatic registration confirmation, followed within a day or two by a personal welcome from a Racquet War administrator. Your administrator will be your go-to contact for any questions leading up to the tournament.
We recommend staying through Sunday evening—and, in many cases, Monday morning—so you can enjoy everything Racquet War has to offer without rushing out after play ends.
Friday is Costume Day, Saturday features a special theme that changes with each tournament, and Sunday is Wimbledon Whites. Check your tournament page for the specific Saturday theme and start planning your outfits!
We’ll begin texting and emailing you whenever updated tournament information is available. Everything will also be posted on the tournament website. During this time, you’ll receive a list of registered players so you can identify anyone you already know and help us avoid matching you against them in the first round. If you added the Thursday clinic, you’ll be sent the available clinic times to choose from. You must add the clinic before this information is sent if you would like to participate. We’ll also post your tournament draws and, if you booked through the Racquet War rooming block, your accommodation confirmation number.
Arrive at the destination, settle into your hotel or house, and head to the Players Clinic if you added it to your registration. You do not need to check in with Racquet War on Thursday. If you aren’t participating in the clinic, we’ll see you Friday!
Arrive 30 minutes before your first match for our mandatory welcome meeting. Before sending everyone out to play, we’ll explain how the entire tournament works and answer all your questions. Attending this meeting is essential for having the best possible Racquet War weekend!
After the final match, join us for the Racquet War Players Party—the highlight of the weekend! It’s your chance to meet other players, enjoy snacks and drinks, and compete to win money in our exciting One-Point Tournament. We recommend making a later dinner reservation so you don’t miss any of the fun!
Your Saturday match times will depend on Friday’s results. You’ll receive your schedule after completing your final match on Friday. Lunch is on your own Saturday, making it the perfect day to explore the city after your matches! Let us know if you’d like recommendations for local restaurants, attractions or things to do.
It’s Finals Day! We’ll wrap up an unforgettable weekend by presenting trophies to our champions and recognizing the winners of our Best Dressed and Sportsmanship awards. We recommend departing on Monday so you have plenty of time to play your final match, enjoy the awards and spend Sunday evening exploring more of the destination!
